I would gladly share the pattern, but by the time I came up with this result I had completely diverged from the pattern, hand stitching together the belly to make it work. So the pattern I have is worthless, I don't even think I could make another exactly the same.

This is the only sewing I've done since summer.
I did this over Christmas break as a gift for our class secret santa exchange. Shanna was thirlled.

He's pretty much life-size sitting at about 17" tall. Made from fleece and poly-fil stuffing. The stripes were a pain because i had to sew them all on by hand.

No, I won't make you one and no this doesn't mean I back.

That's fabulous. You not only captured Hobbes' overall proportions and look, you captured the essence of how the plush version of him is drawn. Most plushes of him look stiff and overstuffed with the limbs sticking out at the wrong angles; this has just the right amount of sag and "floppiness" of the original (or seems to, from the pic), with the arms going forward instead of straight out to the sides. He literally looks like Calvin is moments from walking by and picking him up. Remarkable job. I want one!
