Typhlosion Hat Tutorial by clearkid Typhlosion Hat Tutorial by clearkid
Patterns: [link]
(Note, all pieces except the eyes have a 1/4" (7mm) seam allowance. Also, the pieces labeled "tape" cut as labeled separately for the outside, and cut one taped together in red for the inside.)

Part I: [link]
Base hat tutorial: [link]

Finished product: [link]

So this isn't the most important tutorial, but I though you might like to see it anyway. Plus you get some bonus patterns from me. :)

Tutorial (c) ~clearkid Please do not re-post this elsewhere, kindly leave a link instead.

For the glory of God!

i don't understand where in the templates it says nose cut 1 but it's only about half the normal length

Yes, it's exactly half. On the end labeled fold you have to flip the pattern over and trace around that too. The fold line is the center of the piece and you don't cut there. :)

I have a simple question :]

Where do you get your fabric/what is the best place [in your opinion] to get fabrics? ^-^

I'm fortunate to live near Jo-Ann Superstore and they have an immense selection of fleece and other fabric. Any place that has fleece is a "best" place, and that'll vary by location. I know some Wal-Mart stores have fabric, and I also have a Hobby Lobby that has some too. Be sure to scope out any craft or quilting specialty shops near you. :)

It does? Sweet, then that means I did a good job. xD
The amazing thing is how many different things you can do with just a few techniques and a little know-how.

you should let someone else have it.
I wasted all my money xD

But how much do you think just me buying fleece material from you? You know, to make a plushie?

Awesome! I have had so many issues putting 2 pieces of fabric together. lol. Oh, and I am using your tutorials to make some hats. Please check my gallary to see what you have taught me to make! n_n

It can be tricky, you first have to make sure that the pieces actually fit together and then use lots of pins. xD

You have some nice hats in your gallery. :3

Seeing as I hate using pins this might be the main issue... lol.

I promise they will get better! =D

and often I forget to take ALL of them out and I stab myself when I try to out the hat on to see how it fits! My poor ears have been poked so many times! XD

Yeah, but it you trim the seam after you sew it, you can't miss 'em. Can't cut through pins well. x3
